I was a 1950 child I was brought up on all fresh home cooked food in Lancashire we had beef and onion fresh cooked rag puddings ever day my mum cooked from scratch good old days better than these days
I worked as peacekeeping force in Yogoslav but failed to understand why this genocide was not prevented. There was a clear lack of will
I am the same yet I cant afford all this stuff I only dress the same.
Wheres the drone operator
The critical point of the Bosnian war was in early 1994 not early 1995 when Gorazde was at the VRS mercy and they never had a better chance after that..
Small but awesome country
Why does the video description say Bosnian Muslims? What ethnicity is that?
Husband material 🥰
I could never have the time to make such a commitment to literally live in another era....... but I always dress mid 20th century; I have done for a few years now and I will never stop
that was a fun ride. reminds me of travelling from Helmstedt into DDR to West Berlin along the allied access highway.
What kind of jacket is the interviewer host wearing? Been trying to find one like that, but couldn’t.
Greek owned Liberian flagged
It was a case of, ooh look we have a viable aircraft to beat all others let’s scrap it and give it to the yanks.......spineless cretins.
people should look for the video made at the time re the construction of Mt Pleasant Airbase/Airport , it was extremely impressive as pretty much all the materials, and workers had to come from the UK, if i remember done to budget and schedule as well look on YT for 80 Weeks to Touchdown - The Building of MPA Falklands (1985)
another british design stolen by america to build the F35
We did not need to go supersonic: we have extremely agile and fast air to air Missiles. Dark forces in the RAF could not face the excellence that was a sub sonic weapons platform. They chose highly polished turds tied to runways! Imagine the effect of HARRIER in Ukraine!
What a bummer. My favorite plane to this day.
What a star!
14:59 so wolverine had change careers and become a pilot?
This territory is going to be very useful to the Uk for future exploration etc. It’s a key territory and we need to be making sure it’s resilient and has adequate defences. God Save The King!
Nunca ouvi falar sobre "fala que landas"..... MAS EU JA OUVI FALAR DAS MALVINAS 🤌
Fake News❗
Would have been harsh to be stuck on the Falklands during Covid-19.
Wow, the British have really fallen behind since Brexit 😲
Now there the F-35 carrying the torch. Why not 100% British design, but carries on.
I absolutely loved watching that, thank you for producing it. Ben is so lovely, if I knew him I would be making excuses to pop round for a cuppa regularly just to lose myself for a while in that warm vintage home and enjoy his company. Too right we all love a bit of English eccentricity ❤
Without Sidewinder's Harrier wouldn’t have survived the Falkland... Thanks USA..😂
Thank you all for participating in creating Republika Srpska.
Unfortunately the man who invented the Harrier was never rewarded for his invention as he was in the military his invention was taken as part of his job and the British sold the rights for the Americans to build it for 1 million pounds, not 1 million per Harrier they built but 1 million for as many as they could make. Yet again stupid British government gave it away, they did exactly the same with the hovercraft.
Harriers are not retired, they show up for the big win in battlefield earth. So we see how important Great Britain is in the future. Every day is poppy day, lest we forget 🇬🇧
oh so the guy spoke against Hitler and died from stress
this was before the war
Beautiful scenery.... hated my 3 tours with 45-Zulu. Buggered off to Australia .... then was too hot there ...booty never stops moaning. Hooroo
Yep sheds loads of oil underneath it that's why old Maggie wanted it
I'd be living every day like it's 1941, if I was living in the 1940s!
Basically teaching the Taliban how to fight😂
As an apprentice sheet metal worker turned engineer in the UK who cut his teeth in aerospace, on the harrier, it saddens me that our aircraft industry is all but dead these days. Like many the last major program I worked on before moving to Automotive was the eurofighter and even that didn't feel the same. I'd imagine there's little to no connection felt between the industry in the UK and the F35, would be interested in hearing from people still in the industry what their thoughts are?
Viva las Malvinas
The *Falklands are doing well already without Argentina owning them
I like the fact that Ben seems to take the best aspects of the 40s and combine them with a little bit of modern technology. We've lost a lot of the niceties of earlier days and become so wrapped up in our own little worlds on the internet, it's good to see a person who is not living his life that way.
MALDIVAS
The Maldives are a completely different country in the Indian Ocean. This video is about the Falklands.
Good on him. I was born in 2006 and wish we lived like this today. Besides the rationing, and wars. Everyone spoke nicer, dressed better, and community existed. Simple living.
Looks no different with the heavy metal armour to what I did 85 to 88 baor downgrading our armour utter bollocks
We were made redundant by David double taller Cameron, we. could have made a new harrier but the ungrateful british govenment did want to know, it lived by buying american products, where they hope to retire, on 6% income tax and payments for who and what they know about the uk.
If argentine's had taken over this back then, today it would have been be a dumpster.
Holy Cow, I've just realised he was 23(?) on that tour..... I was 20 watching the news about all this. Needless to say I wasn't even remotely capable of commanding the defence of a British Overseas Territory... What an exceptional officer!
It's a shame that a fascist junta created this Malvinas myth, which persists to this day, to galvanise support from the citizenry it was torturing and murdering; creating this whole war. I believe that the British forces were right to rescue the population of the Falklands, not one of which were Argentinian and while I have sympathy for the lost Argentinian troops I have none for their aspirations. Well done Gentlemen!
What I find absolutely fascinating, yet worrying, is the amount of damage these incredibly brave individuals dealt on the invading RUF forces. Minimal gear, minimal weapons and ammunition yet through sheer ingenuity and working in coordination and cooperation with the villagers these troops were able to exercise controlled aggressive tactics to yield a successful repulsive attack. I find it somewhat disheartening that they weren’t able to get the necessary equipment that they should have had once a decision had been made for the troops to stay for longer than initially planned, but it’s a testament to the grit, discipline and commitment these troops demonstrated. To find out that there was no QRF and no additional resources must be have so disheartening yet these brave soldiers dug in deep within their souls to protect innocent villagers.
Now all he needs is his 1940’s gf
The retirement homes are full of them 😎👍
I don’t care what negativity is cast upon the days of old; those were indeed more civilized times. Don’t allow select Hollywood depictions to define the entirety of generations of people.
What a waste of UK tax payers money.
A small fraction of the defense budget to defend British subjects. Wow what a waste..
